The solid state transformer (SST) is an advanced technology direction in the evolution of data center power supply architectures (UPS → HVDC → Panama Power Supply → SST). With ultimate efficiency, high integration and multi-energy-hub capability as its core advantages, it realizes medium-voltage DC/AC interfaces through high-frequency isolated power electronics, seamlessly integrates distributed energy sources such as wind, solar, storage and hydrogen, and builds intelligent DC microgrids. Therefore, under the trend of high power density in AIDC, the efficiency and space advantages of SST show significant potential, and it is expected to drive data centers toward zero-carbon and intelligent microgrids in the future.
