Released by ModelingTech Energy Technology, StarSim CPU Model Solver is a software component that enables users to perform equivalent decoupling and optimized real-time simulation of large power grids on CPUs. It works in conjunction with software such as StarSim HIL to boost the simulation capacity for large-scale power grids.
A single device supports parallel simulation across up to 15 CPU cores to enhance the simulation performance of large power grids.
The multi-rate mode allows individual CPU cores to run at distinct time steps (in integer multiple relationships), meeting simulation and testing requirements for applications across multiple time scales.
The newly developed decoupling module adopts equivalent decoupling based on distributed-parameter line models. It achieves equivalent system decoupling to cut down computational overhead and upgrade overall simulation capacity. A single CPU core can simulate a power grid framework with 500 single-phase nodes at a 50μs time step.
The Sample Time Delay module allows users to split electrical systems by utilizing transformer leakage inductance or line inductance in scenarios without long transmission lines, thereby realizing multi-core parallel simulation.
